Good site dedicated to the Station Wagon! I grew up in a 1973 Z15 Chevelle SS 3 seat (AQ4) station wagon. My father bought it brand new and I am working on restoring her back to her former glory.
Still have the original window sticker and paperwork from Gates Chevrolet in Southbend, In where Mom and Dad purchased it.
Dad went to order a Vega Wagon and never made it (thank goodness) to the back lot. He bought this car right off the showroom floor.

I had a registry dedicated to these cars many years ago and it went away but still have the information and VINs I've collected for these cars to maintain a tracking record.

    Thanks again for the welcome.

    Dave

:Welcome: to the forum Dave. Glad to see more and more people still having the wagon they grew up in. I have been a Chevelle fan for many years (I ran Chevelles of Europe) and had a 68 and 66 coupe. Great wagon you have there! :thumbs2:

    Welcome to the forum.
There was a very nice (gold?) '73 SS wagon for sale on the internet about a year and a half ago, going for around $25K if I recall correctly.
    . Had a 454 with a 4-speed.

Vegas are cool too! Didn't mean to say they weren't. I like the 71-73s myself. I meant I was more thankful my dad picked the SS at that time.

I lived in Oshawa, Ontario when they were building the Vegas and Firenzas, way back in the early/mid 70's. The GM employees were get pressed to buy GM cars but there were bumper stickers by then that read that "Any Firenza of yours, is no Firenza of mine!" GM backed off on pressuring the Ford and Mopar drivers from parking elsewhere. :rofl2:

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a great heirloom wagon. :Welcome:
