It's a horrible story...they showed pics on the news of the police taking a large trailer out of the yard of the mom of the man arrested. Apparently the truck is inside...I hope this guy is ok.

I watch thing similar to this case on Investigation Discovery all the time, and am just sick that this ended very badly. That poor man and his family! I hope these slugs get the death penalty!!

Being as they are in Canada, they'll likely wind up with life in prison (25 years) and be out earlier than that for no particular reason.

All of this for a truck. The guy that they've arrested owns a farm and an aviation company. Clearly he didn't need the truck. They've yet to find the other suspects and no one knows who was driving the vehicle that followed them when they took the test drive. There's more to this than meets the eye.

This is just heartbreaking, my thoughts and prayers go out to the Bosma family. A harsh wake up call to be aware that even something as simple as selling a truck can be dangerous, my advice would be to keep your radar on in all situations involving people you don't know.

It is a sad ending, yet sadly I think we all knew how the out come would be:(

My heart goes out to his family.

Very sad. No death penalty in Canada?

    Condolences to the Bosma family.

Kijijji are doing all kinds of things to distance themselves from this situation as it was his listing on their site that apparently started this.

And it is not their fault, in any way, but you know how people react in strange ways to these sad situations.

I just cannot imagine this happening over a 2007 truck. And the toad is refusing to cooperate with the police which I believe should mean he gets two life sentences which means he can't get out until he's serves to 25 year sentences, one after the other.

Saf, unfortunately we not only do not have the death penalty, we also do not have consecutive sentencing, only concurrent. You serve 2/3 of the longest of all the sentences, and are released on mandatory parole! Of course, that is calculated after allowing 2 for 1 for time served waiting trial, and all sorts of other bull$&!%.

Prayers are definitely going up for the family. What a sad, sad state of affairs.
