We Visited the Reno/Lake Tahoe area and had a chance to Visit what is left of Bill Harrah's Collection there. Very Nice Facility. There are some Old Depot Hack's and a very early Chevy Station Wagon/Depot Hack. But the 2 cars I really Liked were the 1959 Chrysler Scimitar Concept Car, I had never heard of them before, interesting design I found it interesting that it and the supposedly 2nd from Last Studebaker Built both have a sliding roof Panel.

Cool concepts. The front nose of that Wagonaire reminds me of a 67-68 Chevy truck.

When I was at Harrah's several years ago, I was trying to get a picture of the Scimitar without the barriers. I stepped on the rocks that surround the car and leaned over and set off an alarm. The alarm stopped as soon as I backed up but a security guard appeared pretty quickly. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was something like "don't do that". My wife was in a different part of the museum and came over to see what was going on, she realized that it was me that set off the alarm then shook her head and walked away.

The museum is very cool and definitely worth the trip.

I have a handful of pics from that collection, taken around 1986, but I don't remember if the Scimitar was in the collection and if so, if I have a pic of it.
