One last time----POOR KIA ! Ahhh that felt good! This reminds me of the exgirlfriend song---"Thank God and Kia she's gone." Original is "Thank God and Greyhound she's gone."But this seems fitting. Bye poor Kia. Poor retired mechanic! I guess this forum will slowly fade and die off. Nothing exciting to write and tease about anymore. Danged! But there's that unfinished Shwag and other tales of wagonless members just waiting to continue. Good luck Xavier, Zoe, kats and critters. Chicago is yet another adventure. I guess if it was good enough for Obama it'll be good enough for you. At least the winters are mild and it doesn't snow in Chicago.
Yes, I realize I wrote it again. But you weren't supposed to notice. Poor Kia! I'm beginning to like to write that even though I didn't start it. .
At least there will be winter. One of the things I have always hated most about this area is that most of the time there isnt a winter at all. Just long, hot, sticky, breazeless summers that fade into an almost tolerable fall and followed by an early spring... Did I mention I hate summer? Its supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow! Im glad the Kia adventure is over. Im more than ready for a new one. You lot make me smile.
Seriously Xavier, glad the Kia adventure is over. We all learned a lot from that. But life goes on. Have a great life in the big ole windy city. No matter what happens, you've suffered through a great deal and things will be better. As for us, we are headed for central Illinois next week for all of July and part of August. Hopefully the state can handle both of us there.
And there you have it folks........another chapter closes here at SWF........with one last..................."Poor Kia!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDDHcN75HnU
Should we not end the Kia with this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvdoG4yF2p0&feature=related And a new chapter in there life begins.....Zoe and X starting there day, in there new Chicago apartment..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9fbiNAGq0I&feature=related
Anything is possible. We've been known to wander up to Illinois beach State Park at Zion and even straying across the board into Canada--- I mean Wisconsin at times. But since silverfox put the word out to his mean neighbor about borrowing his station wagon, that's doubful. And CE has a gun, or two! 15 MPG on my hungry truck keeps us off ther roads more too. Good luck in your next adventure. Sure like to see a station wagon in your driveway. Might make it worth coming up there. I have never ever gotten hooked on Soap Oprees even though grandma and my mom watched those things. Apparently some of our members had nothing else to do before internet came and saved them from a worthless life. This leaves me with one burning question---will the little Kia lead a happy and productive life without X there to nurture it and will Zoe and X find happyness in the Windy city? Only the Shadow knows ! POOR KIA.
The Kia, thankfully, will be loved. Not one for the soaps, either. Thats why I get my deodorant for free. Zoe is hellbent on getting another Fox body wagon. Especially another Marquis. No complaints whatsoever. Im right there with her. I know, also, that if a black wagon, full size 80s model, and at a good price were to be placed in front of her she would be all over it. We move tomorrow! After tonight it might be a few days before I can get back on here, but if I get a free minute I will get on to see what rumours are spreading. As for us having a wagon again. Someday. Someday...
Darned, I'd like to start some rumors about you but tomorrow will be a busy day. Needed to mow today but the weatherman has other damp plans. Then if all goes well, it's off to Illinois Tuesday and no computer much till sometime in August. If I can think up a good rumor today or later Monday I will sneak it in when you are packing or playing with the cat. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima Head northeast on 44 and look for the big Arch. Have a McRib and follow 55 north to home. Drive safe, the texter you meet on the highway may be too busy to see you.
I am especially cautious on the highway. The thought of wrecking on the highway terrifies me something awful. You be safe too. I mean, dont get me wrong. I want your wagon but I cant afford to come and get it just yet. Seriously, though, do please be careful.
Think of this, you will be traveling the length of Illinois up I55 on probably Tuesday. We will be traveling that same road as far as Lincoln on Wednesday or Thursday. Wave if you see a red Dodge quadcab with a silver topper weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. Sadly we can't take the wagon.
We will be in Chicago if not by tomorrow night then Tuesday morning. Im sitting outside trying to sell my junk... er, priceless heirlooms and masterpeices and a little wagon pulls up out front. I complemented their wagon. He seemed a bit caught off guard by those words. Recovering quickly he and his wife both thanked me and he explained that he wont own anything but wagons. I found a new friend! We talked wagons for a bit. He told me that he grew up with a 62? Plymouth wagon. Dont worry I did the shameless plugging for the Forum. Heres to the wagons and the people that love them!
Well played Tedy! Guys....the closing credits on the "Poor Kia!" story have played, start a new thread or take it outdoors! And remember, June Cleaver says "no texturizing while driving! and ". She'll hit you! Have safe trips! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcwLGrSDNVk
