That Country Squire looks way to good to be a parts car! Here in Ontario, there are 10 year old cars with more rust on them that that! Just look at the rockers on any of the early 2000 G.M. minivans! They are turning to powder before you eyes and there is that beautiful old Squire still sitting tall and proud! That A.M./F.M. radio is likely a very rare item, and probably worth quite a bit as well. If the frame under the old girl is good, she certainly looks well worth the effort of keeping her going!

The car is probably too good to part out I haven't gotten a chance to look under it. It's been raining like a bastard the last 2 days. from a look on the outside it needs right rear quarter work area between tailgate and rear quarter drivers door rotted in front lower corner and dent in drivers fender. And The gas tank needs to be redone. Hood is real nice tailgate is real nice. Dash pad has one split down the middle. I snuck out between the raindrops and had it running for a few minutes and it sounded good.

My country sedan has what this car needs. The doors are good fenders are good rear quarters are pretty good. hood isnt the greatest but not too bad.Tailgate is shot! area under rear side glass has a strange rot hole blue interior dash needs to be replaced. Gas tank and enitire fuel system redone. It has rot where tailgate shuts and cargo area in the back has rot. rear floor behind drivers seat is a little soft. The frame is good.

Each car has what the other needs both have a/c am/fm but squire has front door speakers. I'm going to have to decide which is better My good friend Chris is a great body guy I'l have to see what he thinks body wise. Decisions decisions.................:scratchchin:

It sounds like you have 2 great cars to rebuild! Both are great to have. Those front speakers, and the grills, are hard to come by too. Front speakers were not a common option.

Personally, I would pick the best of the two and swap the required parts from the other. Take all the unwanted parts and put them back on the parts car and then sell it as a whole car. That way you get what you want and pass the remainder on to another.

i gotta get big red going! It can't be ran from the gas tank since in needs to be cleaned out so i have a gas can connected to it. I have the battery from my '68 mustang in it now charging overnight in the morning i'll backfill the line from pump to carb and it should be running. I need to be able to drive it onto a trailer so I can move it to my inlaws. Then Tuesday My friend is gonna flatbed big blue over here once the timing is right she'll run.

Big Red is beautiful. Too beautiful to part out, in my opinion. The thing is, the Country Sedan is even more rare in good condition. Too many of them were used up and scrapped young, being the less expensive work horse. It sounds like you have yourself a pair of great wagons.
