So I finally got the Bumpers today.
Came UPS. I tore em open like a kid on Christmas.
Actually, they were packaged really well, so it took some effort ot git them open.
    They look awesome.
Caint wait to get them on the car!

Well, after about three weeks at the upholstery shop, I finally have some interior progress pics.

Stopped by today for a look see.
It's kinda deceiving, but they are almost done.
New carpet and kick panels are in.
Door panels, seats, rear panel etc, done and ready to be installed. windshield guy is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Had a little hiccup with another interior fella who lost some of the parts (new window cranks, door handles, dome light etc) but he got them reordered and they are supposed to be here at noon tomorrow.

Could be cruising in it as early as Wed evening.
    we'll see.

Come to my house, or worse, Andy's area 51, 51a, 51b and 52, then there's all the workshops at his lodge.:biglaugh:

I agree though, it sounds like they haven't got a really organized work-order/batch system. But they made good and they do nice work.

I dropped the Ranchito off at the guys house. He's got a little shop in the back, and his partner has the shop in town. Their plan was to start it at the home shop then move it down to the business. The feller I dropped it off with was having a yard sale. Only thing he can figure is that the box with all of the shinny new parts made some one a happy customer.
Fortunately it was only one box, so most of it was accounted for. They actually are a very organized group, clean shop, good lighting, oldies playing in the background. Got quality customer cars, a nice 58 Delray coupe, 65 Mustang, 30's Dodge coupe. They do good work and are very reasonably priced.

Got a call from the windshield installer this morning.
Went to install the glass at the upholstery shop.

Turns out that glass in the box isn't a front windshield for 63 Ford Falcon.

    I said, "yer joking right?"

    Nope. It's not even close.

The guy ran the part number through the data base.

    59 El Camino rear window.

At this point I'm sitting there, trying to wrap my mind around it.
I can't even think of anything to say.:rant2:

I'm p'od to say the least. :badwords:

Got a call in to the Glass guy. Each time i call they tell me he'll be back in an hour. :banghead3::banghead3::banghead3::banghead3:

He must be scrambling to find it then. Why don't you look for another if he comes up empty and tell him where, while you ask him how he wants this one shipped back.

Yeah, well, they are a glass locating outfit back East. They found a windshield in SoCal. That is what was shipped to me. I'm hoping it was just a mix-up at the warehouse and they still have a Ranchero/Falcon windshield.

Took me three weeks to find a clear windshield, and that is with the help of the Imernets.
