Today I picked up a carb rebuild kit.
And my son and I started in on it .
Dipped all the major parts in some carb cleaner stuff
Cleaned up all the small parts
Tomorrow we'll put her back together.
We also pulled the plugs and cleaned and regaped them
Points and cond and cap are new from previous owner
Just have to set dwell time and see where we are at !!!

I went digging for some info on Ford's T5 5-speed tranny and landed on a YouTube flick, made by the guys at Auto RestoMod. Then I clicked on the YouTube Subscribe button! Wow!

    http://www.youtube.com/user/AutoRestoMod?feature=watch

Then I went to their site! More Wow!

    http://www.autorestomod.com/

I guess their show is on US TV or some cable package.

Well, if its classic Fords, they cover it. From Headliners to headlights.

I downloaded and converted the tranny flicks from MP4 to Windows Media, using this freebie tool. You just right click on the flick, copy the shortcut and paste it into the program's commanline bar. It shows you a list of file formats you can choose to download from, and you decide what file format setting you want to save/convert it to:

    http://atube-catcher.dsnetwb.com/video/content/banco-datos-Download-latest-update.html

    Slick, Simple and FREE!!!

I usually let it download in the highlighted format. One of their MP4 videos is about 20 minutes, give or take, and about 260 MB. Converted into a Windows Media file (WMV) it grows to 800 MB. Takes about an hour to download and convert/encode.

I just get one started, let her rip, and do something else in my renos.

Another friction and steel to complete the rebuild.
I have a complete dual exhaust system header back dual
From my Camaro I'm going to use to build a dual
System for the wagon.then we'll see where she takes us ?

Just caught up on this thread - good work! Making great progress. That will be a cool RC airplane hauler - imagine the looks you'll get when you pull up to the RC airfield with that bad boy! Give the plane and car a matching paint scheme - oh baby!
