Would this be a bad time to mention it's dropped way down to 82 degrees? But we've had two windows wide open for hours. The grass, yea that green stuff, really does need mowed one more time. But the mower battery is kaputt and I figured I'd wait till spring. Maybe next week. The only part of your photos I liked was the Canadian Fridge, well stocked. A cold drink on a hot day like this sure would be nice! Yes, winter is coming. but I am enjoying this for now.
We've got about 6 inches (10cm) of snow on the ground, and are expecting freezing rain tonight. Could be as much as an inch or so of ice. YUCK. This is what it looks like out my front door: That is Dunlop Street in Barrie, and downtown is about 2 blocks away. Great job of clearing the roads!
You people are ganging up on me! All I wanted to do is make you feel WARM and cuddly all over. Hope you've been naughty and had a great year. Keep warm.....! MERRY CHRISTMAS
Cat, the only way to make it up to us is for you to invite all of us for Christmas dinner. I'll help with the cooking.
Its 85 today, was 87 yesterday, but that winter storm is finally making its way down to Florida. We MAY get a little much needed rain around midnight, and tomorrows temps will be in the 60's. Tomorrow night may see lows in the 40's, maybe even the 30's in some outlying areas (like Cats house) but the kids can still go roller skating in the street on Christmas day, because we'll be back up to the mid to upper 70's for a while. Hardcore surfers will be out in the chilly water on Christmas day, no doubt. The water temperature is about 72. That mutha came thru here Sat. evening. Almost hurricane force winds up to 80mph. We were under both a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado warning. It spawned some tornados to the north of us a bit. Lost a few small tree branches. It sucked my storm door open and bent the rod on the closer so it wouldn't shut. Unbelievably we didn't lose power, though other areas did.
If another storm hits Biff Buffington is ready http://audio.wrko.com/a/36209021/biff-buffington-reports-from-blizzard-central.htm
As PineBox wrote, we've been really lucky down here. One of the best so far in our 19 years. We are supposed to get upper 20's Christmas Eve. So everyone needs to stay inside and cuddle.
Cat, Luck has nothing to do with it. These storms are going from the southeast to the northwest. Your season comes later when when they come off the Atlantic heading northwest. I think they call them hurricanes.
