Getting ready for the storm

lost power for a couple of hrs late in the afternoon yesterday. iI blew out the driveway last night after the plow went , it was like a hurricane wind from every direction!

Cleaned it up this morning after taking the wife to work.Day shift was cancelled today we will work tomorrow (usually have fri. off)

Sun is melting the roads clear it was quite icy at 7:30


About 45 cm or more of snow hard to tell with all the drifting and blowing snow.

 

Ditto here but we didn't loose our power.

 

...I mowed my lawn today.....

I still have 3 feet of snow in places! Ok mabe 2.5 feet

 

Yeah, I did mine yesterday also, now the lawn wars begin and flowers are blooming...Now I'm gona have to weed the garden....... Oh the humanity!



Even got our first tulip, when will the madness end??

 

Even the playground in the back is having some green.....for the moment!



So then there was some "through the toy'.......



And then, OMG, train crash! and I ended up flat on my back...............

That slow motion, NNNnnnnnnooooooooooooooo.... but it was to late



Then after I put my spleen back and rubbed the blood from my eyes, and sat up counting 11 fingers on one hand, at least there was some one who really truly was concerned if I was OK!...........



The train that derailed me was....... 'WTF?, throw the toy!"



I wish it had rained!

 

Again it started around 4:00 and has been freezing rain sleet and snow since then!

sort of thinking power could be lost at any time!

 

It started freezing rain after supper here...hubby gets off work at midnight...that won't be a fun ride. I hadn't even heard about this storm until I got home from work this evening.


Hey GN have you every noticed how some folks from BC are real brats! Tilips...lawn mowing...dogs playing out doors and staying dry...

 

I bet he'll be spinning into Tim's for some coffee on the way home!? :confused:

 

Tedy, your yard looks Great! Now you can join your block's "Yard Inspection Committee" and go around making your neighbor's day!

 

Spinning probably, he's got the car, I had the truck. Tim's not likely...he doesn't drink and drive...

 

If i only mow 2 or 3 times a year its ok with me !

 

I haven't even started my mower here in Florida. Not that the grass doesn't need cut. Living in the boonies does have benefits. Maybe I'll buy goats.
I'm not even gonna say how warm it got but the sun was shining.

 

I hate mowing so I gots me one of these. I haven't done anything more than watch my lawn get mowed for several years now.

 

That yellow thing says "friendly" on top but I dunno? :confused:
