image.jpeg I have two of them on my 64 Cadillac. One in the lower rad hose for my electric fans and one in the upper for the thermally activated vacuum valve for the charcoal canister emissions.

Pretty cheap to solve your problem. Remember there is ALWAYS a resolution to a problem, ALWAYS!!!

Sounds interesting. First i want to figure out where else the sensor can be fitted into the engine. I guess both sensors are in inch.
And you are right, there is always a solution...but i usually don't want to pay others for fixing my small problems, it's quite expensive here in Germany to task a repair shop for US-classics :D

Meanwhile: after a bit of cleaning and polishing the dirt and scratches of more than 40 years, it's ready for the next 4 decades.
Of course it's just a small improvement.

I finally fixed the faulty temperature gauge. It's not nice to look at but now the original sensor is where it belongs.
I know its reaction time is too slow in case of emergency but the gauge is working now.
    Oil pressure is next.
