After seeing Mike's (81X11) Post about getting his longroof in the garage and remembering Marshall (Krash Kadillac) sharing about his garage while awaiting the 81's arrival, I thought it might be neat to see what other members have done with their garages. As I am sure is the case in many situations, the garage has become my "Man cave" of sorts. My oldest son and I spend a good amount of time out there, especially in the winter months. Here is mine Photo from a few years ago when we finished stage one of the Ranchero rebirth: Pictures from this summer. The 68 Mustang does not belong to me, But has been on long term loan. I only own one classic car, but I am the caretaker of many. Our house was built in 2004, so the garage is not very big, but it is very deep. Not only can I park the Fury in it on the short side, I can also get my long box Crew cab in.
Here are some pictures of the random things I have decorating the place. I have the original hubcaps for the Fury and the Ranchero on Display. My wife's grandfather collected vintage license plates. When he passed away, her Grandmother gave them to me as a gift. They are now proudly displayed on the wall. When we bought the house I built shelves to keep everything up off the floor and built a work bench on the back wall. The work bench spends more time as a catch-all. There is more, but you get the idea. Lets see some pictures of your Garage.
This concept of actually parking your cars/trucks/wagons in your garage is something I'm going to have to investigate further. I like to feel my garage is "tornado ready" as it already looks like a tornado hit it, haha! I've got some of those Coleman cabinets in my garage.......somewhere  also J Orthman. They seem pretty decent.
Mike, we are in a hurricane zone and our three car wide garage has been pre-hurricaned inside by my son and his friends. But compared to many we see around here with the doors open ours is still in great shape. At least we have the 55 wagon and a1948 panel truck in it.
Thank you for reminding me I need to clean out the garage. While I am able to park two cars in my two car garage, every square inch of available floor space is cluttered with tools, parts, etc. I gave that old Huffy "Rail" bike to a friend's son last summer. The kid had been wanting one to restore for years. Twenty years ago, when I bought the house, I had visions of making the garage into more of a showroom for my old cars. I paneled one wall and installed mirrors to display part of my collection of 1/25 scale model cars (both built up kits as well as promotional models). More models went into plastic cases on shelves and I put framed car pictures on the wall. Maybe some day soon I'll have the time to clean up the garage so I can show you pictures of the lower half.
Cool stuff Jim! Some super cool models you have. I will have to get some pics of my garage up, right now half of it is filled with crap from the wifes store, but the Shwag is safe and sound on her half and about 2 feet off the ground for easy access to the under carraige. My seat mounting bolts went all the way through the floor pan, been sealing them up for the new interior.
Nice stuff guys I fall under the sunami shop, looks like a sunami washed it Jim, could I pleeeezzee have that 68 Cougar?
