    hi,

got the following situation and need a little inspiration:

power tailgate motor works when directly powered (cables/battery)
there is power to the switch on both (opening/closing) wires.

still the window won't move when i turn the switch. seems as there is no ground.

have i overseen something possibly in general operating the switch???
do all doors have to be closed?
is there a second switch which has to be operated, before i turn the key in the back door?

which fuse is related to the tailgate circuit?

i´ve read that there is a relay in the cars up to 1970 but not in the 71/72 models. correct?
if there is a relay, where would i find it, and could it be the reason for malfunction?

for better information. i have no power windows and no tailgate wiper/washer.

i tried to find answers via search, but after 5 pages gave up. to many makes to many causes i can exclude.

i appreciate any help in guiding me to the right thread or in supportive ideas.

    txs
