Ive noticed a few other manufactures like KIA and Hyundai also only offer a manual on the low end models :(.

There's now some discussion on the Focus forum about whether they'll bring the wagon to the U.S. at all. They are bringing out the C-Max which is a mini-minivan on the Focus platform - sliding rear doors and all. Speculation that a wagon will rob sales from a wagon and visa versa.

Well....that figures. I don't know the reason but there are a lot of cool wagons across the pond that we never get. I've never seen this C-Max, but, it will probably preclude our seeing the Focus Wagon here again.

That's rather ugly looking. Looks like they're trying to make a down-sized Subaru. And the hatch looks like a min-van. Pass.

Why would I be speaking of the C-Max?

I didn't quote your comment about the C-Max, and I didn't say anything in my post about the C-Max. The topic of the thread is the new Focus, so the logical assumption would be I'm speaking-of the Focus.

Well....since I DID mention the C-Max (see above post).....you could have been addressing that. Oh...and in your post....you know....the one where you said IT'S ugly? Well....you didn't mention C-Max OR the Focus. That's why your ambiguous logic escaped me.

Silver, what is the SUBJECT OF THE THREAD? It is the Focus. Why would there ever be an assumption I was responding your comment about the C-Max? Did I quote you? No. Did I address you? No. Did I mention you? No. Did I mention the C-Max? No. Common sense would dictate I was speaking of the thread subject matter; the Focus.

I for one have owned two of them (Focus wagons, that is) and at 6', had no problem adjusting the seat to fit me with plenty of room left in the back for normal sized passengers. I was able to fit a full sized pillow-topped love seat in the cargo bay and deliver it comfortably three hours away. Fantastic small wagon, and hoping that the rumours are true since the C-Max has been effectively scrubbed for North America save a hybrid version.

There had better be a manual transmission option though, preferably the six-speed they get in Europe!! :2cents:

If you're a fan of this small, efficient, fun, affordable wagon like I am, join up on my Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_276589198956&ap=1

Just don't ask me how I ended up with a 2007 Focus ZX3 as my daily driver. Still kicking myself for that one.

Yeah...I agree about the stick shift. But we get wierd options over here. May just come with an auto. They would be crazy not to offer the stick, though. Lots of young people like these wagons. And old people like me too!:yup:
I don't understand your last comment, ZTW? That looks like a nice car.

We see Ford Focuses in every street here... If we want a cheap European wagon with plenty of room (to European standards of course!!!!) people buy a Ford Focus of a few years old... I prefer American designed cars...

Sorry SF, guess I wasn't clear - I ended up getting rid of the wagon in the pic and buying a three-door hatchback instead - which I'm still driving - and I have a 5 year old who unfortunately has to climb into his car seat after I manouver the damn front seat out of his way.

I could have at least bought the five-door, and they still offered the wagon that year... :hide:

Don't know what I was thinking, but I do remember being put off by the chrome grille and general rental-car vibe of the 2007 version.

The 2012 is sweet and if they offer the wagon version in North America, it will be my next car.

Your ZTW looks similar to the one I had, except for the color.
2003, French blue, leather, moonroof, 16" alloys, 2.3 P-ZEV, etc. (unfortunately, automatic) Also unfortunately, I totalled it last October.

Looks good. I'm currently driving an SUV and was thinking about getting a stationwagon next time. Looks like it is worth waiting to try out.

I hope Ford, for once, makes the right decision and brings back the Focus wagon. They were great cars and the Escort wagon, back when they produced it, was a great seller. I'd like to think that the Focus wagon will do so well, it'll convince Ford to make their new Taurus a wagon as well.
    One can only hope.
