'91 was the only year to get the clear front turn signal lenses under the headlights.

Cool. They used to be a common sight. Now it's worth taking a photo of.

More action at the red light. Was actually a nice day for cruising, the rain came outta nowhere. And in front was a suburban I believe. Not a wagon but still a long roof!! IMG_1433.JPG

When I was stationed in San Dog in my Navy days in the late Eighties, I went to Popeye's in Chula Vista, and I was duly disgusted. It was greasy and flavorless, the biscuits tasted doughy, and I couldn't finish it. Fast forward to last year, and a new Popeye's is built here in Everett. Now I've seen the recent 'Louisiana Fast' commercials, I decided to try it again, but I had to wait several months for the furor to die down, and had a Cajun chicken meal, with red beans & rice side and a biscuit, and I have to say, it was very well-made! The chicken was juicy with a kick of flavor, the red beans and rice were properly seasoned, and the biscuit was so good, it needed no butter, no honey, no jam, nothing! Tasty by itself!

Kentucky Fried Chicken is still my favorite (what I grew up on, although I miss the BBQ chicken very much), but I also like Southern cooking so I like Church's (especially their fried okra) and now Popeye's.

Nothing worse than finding a beak in your bucket of chicken:nailbiting:

Oh, I don't know. I suppose finding a nose in there could be worse. Then again, the nose would less likely get noticed than a bony beak, in that it would be battered and fried beyond recognition. Would probably pass for a callous bit of chicken skin.

"Served with fava beans, and a nice Chianti...." I've had methylated spirits, so I now know what his attraction to Chianti would be.
