Favorite wagons?

Thanks for responding. This has given me a little insight into the interests of those who frequent this forum. My own tastes are almost entirely confined to one decade (1960-1970). I expected to see lists that included one make or model only, or others that liked the wagons from one brief period in history. In this group, it appears that many individuals appreciate several makes of wagons over multiple decades. Meanwhile, while the rest of the collector car hobby is focused on cars built prior to the mid 70s, its apparent that the late 70's and newer wagons have a strong following here. It will be interesting over time to see if a larger percentage of wagons than other body styles get preserved from the model years that aren't as popular with collectors of other body styles.

 

Jim, my uptake on this growing trend to small, cleaner vehicles is to make cities more livable. We've both got huge countries with towns and villages and whistle stops hundreds of miles from a telegraph pole. Up here, we've got a couple cities with no road access for 5 months, and one region that has an Ice highway over those 5 months (McKenzie Highway on the McKenzie River). Urban cars are useless. Bus travel isn't justifiable, and people can't take -50F for more than 5 minutes walking. Big vehicles make sense. Making them efficient is the challenge. We buy big items at high prices. Who's gonna pay a $50 delivery after dropping $4,000 for an appliance, or a few boards, or bags of topsoil?
