Love it. These are so rare, Fannie, and just having one that's complete, even if it is an in progress restoration is great. I'm envious. I've had a couple of Beaumonts and Acadians over the years and have always been attracted to the Pontiac side of GM. Once it is complete and you are out enjoying it I think you'll find that many people will love it also. Have you gone to GM Canada and requested the original paperwork for it? I had it for my last 70 SS Chevelle and it was neat to see which dealership ordered it and what options it had when it arrived at the dealer.
It isn't necessarily about beauty, it's about hobby, it's about fun, sweat and tears. And hopefully, no blood.
Well said Andrew. I hope that you will soon be able to have Fannie on the road and enjoying it, like Barry said.
Yay! She’s all cozy just waiting for her redo! What a lovely home you have Fannie! Enjoy your time it’s well deserved!
That's fantastic news, Fannie. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them. What a relief to have that done, one less thing to deal with. You've moved into a nice area from the view in the pictures. A great place to retire to. When my wife and I retired our thoughts were "let the fun begin". We've focused on doing just that for 17 years and every day gets a little bit better than the ones before it. I'm delighted you are on the same journey.
Well done Fannie. The house, wagon, your ability to retire with your hubby - you did everything right. Congrats !
Thank you guys. It is on big thing off of the to-do list, we are both VERY glad she is at the new place. Now to just finish up a few things here and get this house listed for sale then we will be there too.
Hooray! Looking forward to hearing more stories of progress now that she's all squared away in her new home.
Two steps forward. First, we finally have our Stewiacke house listed for sale. Map - ViewPoint.ca Second, my sister and mom agreed to help me transplant some flowers from Stewiacke to Parrsboro. So we enjoyed a pleasant drive, and a very nice lunch out and I got a few plants around the new place.
That seems like a great way to enjoy a Mother's day weekend with your mom and sister. And you can watch a little bit of your Stewiacke garden growing in your new yard. Hoping your sale goes quickly so you can focus on your new home.
My sister and brother-in-law are in the middle of doing the same thing--they bought a house in Eastern Washington and are in the middle of moving. As soon as that's complete, they'll clean and paint their Everett house and sell it, as they own it outright, and will use those proceeds to pay off the new house.
It really made things easier having our new place to move a lot of our belongings into. Now that Stewiacke is ready we can really start to make Parrsboro home. Good luck to your friends. How long have they lived in their Everett home?
