S/W As you can see in my avatar, I have a '68 Falcon Futura, and since I sold the "65 wagon in '99, the wagons that I have had were a '66 Falcon and an '80 Fairmont. I also currently have an '82 Granada L wagon For Sale. TJ
Sweet. sorry i havent quite learned my way around yet and am not real computer smart. give me wrenchs and car and i know my way around LOL
Many years ago, I had a '68 Ranch Wagon. I had duals run out the back and as long as the tailgate window was up, I never had any problem with exhaust gasses. Early 70s Dodge wagons had a spoiler type rig on the rear of the top supposedly to help keep the tailgate window clean by directing air down behind the car when it was moving. This should effectively keep out gasses as well, if you could fit one of these to your Ford. They actually look pretty cool.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
You could always run lakepipes along the rocker panels, but then you couldn't wear shorts - too hot for the legs.
The exhaust on my Buick runs straight to the back, I don't have any problems with the exhaust fumes with the rear window closed. But then again I'm running it on LPG, which burns really clean. However, I have to be very careful to not have the exhaust hit the ground at speed bumps and steep inclines. I'm going to change it to a dual system in the future anyway, but I might give the current exhaust a bend to the side before that, because this is just way too annoying! If you see it then you know what I mean: Not very practical...
run them over the axle and out just behind the rear tires at a 45 degree angle to the ground. No smoke in the cab and it looks pretty cool too.
EZ, You have got to send me a link to the LPG system you have on your long roof! I have been interested in doing that for a long time!
