$4500 as the car sits without an engine. Needs a wiring haness and probably tires. The race engine as it sits(needs a rebuild) s another $4500.
OUCH, Stick. Probably worth it. When you get older....things seem more expensive than you think they should be. LOL...I remember my grandma giving me a nickel and thought she was splurging. I can relate to that now.
Well consider this. the body kit to buy it is over $5000 alone, The wheels are lightweight Compmotive 3 piece wheels. They are 15X9 in the front and 15X10 in the rear. Presently the tires are 245/50-15 fronts and 295/50-15's rear. BTW the chassis has 40K orginal miles on it.
OH....I'm not arguing the fact of its worth at all. I used to have race cars myself. And the older people couldn't believe what I had in those either!
Ive never been a fan of 4 bangers and very very few 6cyls but these are the worst north american non industrial V8 engines, IMO The 301 Pontiac V8 - (gutless wonder, pitiful excuse for a 300+ci V8 turbo or not!) The 255 Ford V8 - (useless wasted metal abortion) The 326 Pontiac V8 - (too small.. get your groceries with a 350 at least) The 267 Chevy V8 - (what.. the.. hell? junk!) The 221 Ford V8 - (wasted metal, no guts, too small) The 360 Mopar V8 - (already got a 273 and 318, any other mopar should be a big block!) The 351M and 400M Ford V8's - (gutless wonders... wasted metal) The 360 Ford V8 - (gas guzzler, no guts) The 350 Mopar "B" - V8 - (wasted metal, go bigger!) The AMC 290, 327, 343 and 401 V8's - (only good AMC was the 390) Really any 200+ci V8 in the late 70s or early 80s!
I sorta have to disagree about Fords 221 V8. I had that little moter in a 62 Meteor with a 3 on the tree. Yes it was'nt a tire smoker but that lil V8 never let me down and I could keep speed in the mountains...I really liked that ol Beteor Meteor and regret selling it afer driving it for a year and I beat on that car The 289/302 had to start some where Looked exactly like this one...good memories
