A sly silverfox? Or a slyfox that has turned to silver?
That story on welding and brake cleaner is scary. Articles like that and others are interesting. I'm actually learning things here. Can that be a good thing? Remember, we are old dogs!

    :Welcome:
You and the Kia have been thru a lot together, both learning as you go. As for that tire plugging, a complete kit used to only be a few dollars at Big Box stores and auto supply stores. Also a real service station would plug a tire for a few dollars. Perhaps I am living in the past.
As long as the puncture is not on the edge of the tread or sidewall most places will plug it. Good luck.
Stop driving on the sidewalks !
Or as in that old dyke story, you could hold your finger over the hole!:yahoo:

Wait. Are you all saying that there is s patch kit that does NOT require I remove said tire from the rim; that it is simple enough that newb like me could do it?

Don't even need to remove the tire from the car if you catch it before it goes totally flat and make it to a place with air.. done it many times and keep a kit in the glove box :D

The plugs kit comes with long strip plugs that are gooey with glue and a tool that is pointed and has a loop on the end, you put the stip patch through the loop, push the plug into the hole with the tool and then pull it back out until the end of the loop appears, then you cut the plug off the end of the tool and bang! Hole patched.
