some nice cars there, shall I post some of my drawings here? Seems like an appropriate place to share them again...
Well, there may not be anything that I haven't posted before but maybe... I do plan to do some more based on a few famous factory backed grocery getters from the first half of the 60's decade.
And just a few more, Have a great day! These babies can really haul... A wagon based car from the 70's though I'm betting it was actually built in the 60's before Nomads began to be looked at as iconic collectibles.... Just keep reminding yourself: "It's only a drawing, It's only a drawing, It's only a drawing, ..."
Have you seen Jim Hand's Lemans wagon? about 4070 lbs, under 12 seconds with full exhaust. Mark, was Jim's car the inspiration for your Lemans wagon art? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu4I6gfF68w
Yes, It was commissioned by Tom Hand, Jim's son. It is Prismacolor pencil and ink on bristol board. My own car benefitted greatly from this job as I now have a killer performance dual exhaust system that replaced my stereo in terms of ambient sounds and smells ... a good thing indeed. PS. I love the Hand wagon but i think I'm in love with that ice blue Acadian. I love the vista roof and have always liked that split grille with the strong horizontal bars. Man, this thread is going to be a huge asset to my research...
