    You're thinking of the Ford SKYliners, Norm. And they were only built from '57 through '59. No '60 version, which was an all-new body.

    I kid you not, to me the interior looks close to something I expect Willy Wonka would drive assuming it's the Johnny Depp Wonka or the Wonka in the book - I'm not so sure about the Gene Wilder Wonka. Coming from me, I don't consider that a bad thing. The Wonka character is like Captain Nemo in my book; in some ways they're both very inspirational.

    Looks like our 59, minus the hardtop.

    I like the purple car to an extent. But, like many cars it was done to the owner's taste. That doesn't always translate into a good resale value.

    Louvers were popular back in the early days of custom cars. But they are not cheap and water gets on the engine. Or snow and ice in your case.
