once a month they meet at a donut shop for breakfast then go home and take a nap, go out for lunch take another nap… the Willys has a 572 with blower and suicide doors. I’m sticking close to that one. Trying to get adopted.
Chuck a Burger. (Made of Chuck steak not thrown), was always a hot spot during the 80’s for sure. I wasn’t around STL before that to testify for the early years.
Cherry coke.....1964 Gleichman's Drug store. Never had a pizza burger. Couldn't see the sense in ruining a good Chicago pizza by putting it on a hamburger. Always loved steakburgers and chili mac from Steak N' Shake. Chili mac was best in winter time when curb service hung your tray on the window, and the orange grease congealed on top from the cold.
No pizzaburger, it's bad enough I'm a fat bastard and I don't need any help with it, but a real Cherry Coke, I haven't had since high school, forty years ago, as well as a Lime Coke.
Vanilla Coke? Chocolate Coke? Pizza burger is a normal burger with marinara and mozzarella. Had the chili Mac last week. It’s the same as you remember. Probably the same batch. St. Louis style pizza is about the opposite of anything from Chicago style.
Aww, c'mon you guys, I'm trying to lose weight and now I'm forced to go raid the fridge and the cookie jar. Oh mannn......
Well yeah, fountains had many flavors; I remember lemon, lime, vanilla (not that disgusting spit in a can, but real vanilla syrup), cherry, grape, chocolate (ohmigod, I need to have a cherry cordial Coke, which is chocolate and cherry syrups!), and a few others I cannot remember.
