A little know fact. Memphian out of Memphis had also built a 57 Mercury version as well. The one I saw was all white so most likely an ambulance. I worked right across from the building downtown where the car was fenced in a large parking area for years. However do not know what happened to it after 1979. I was pretty intrigued by it with the large fiberglass topper and lights on the roof.
I had never seen one before that or after. I wonder if there was more than one of those built? :yup:

Was thinking more along the lines of Christine or The Car, at first. These are nice.

These next four qualify for what I think Mad Max would have looked like had it happened in the earlier part of the 20th century.

Have any of you ever seen this 1980 horror film...?

The Hearse used in the film was a 1951...

This one I'm throwing in just because the feel of the picture with the house and the hearse works well... and I think its cool. :D

    Thanks, Fannie!

I know what you mean. I re-read this thread and a few other old ones and caught myself off guard... I almost replied to one... I miss SilverFox.

The 57 Olds definitely makes the baddest funeral car I think.

My taste in vehicles seems only to have grown but will never change. Not this year. Zoe has to work on Halloween and I'm not gonna do anything without her. We will probably just get some beer or wine (Apothic Red/White/Dark) on the weekend, if I'm not working yet, and watch Doctor Who and/or MST3K. We got some lights up around our room. Its pretty. Funny thing is, with some of the rain storms we've had combined with the drop in temps our building has gained a few new residents... rodent residents... Its best to keep some music playing when living here or you hear creeks, scratching, and the odd occasionally loud bang or crash...

    You mentioned MST3K.......

Haven't seen it on TV in years, but we went to a movie the other day and there was a trailer for a MST3K 'Event' (on Halloween?) at the theater - kind of like one of those pay-per-view things they put on for boxing matches, etc. Says the 'original characters' are involved.
