I'm Chevrolet all the way and that Corvette is nice, but dang that T-Bird is impressive. The best year too in my opinion.
Yeah, that guy holding a pad to write on must be running a test between boath Corvettes tended to appeal more to men. I don't see any feature in any of them that a woman would find appealing, except maybe for a vanity mirror placed behing a driver's side sunvisor. Thunderbirds seem to have been designed more "unisex", whether intentional or not. That's maybe why you see more vintage photographs of women driving Thunderbirds than driving Corvettes (if any whatsoever). The following second generation one isn't taking off as if it was genuinely one of those over 1 horsepower per cubic inch opted ones. A 327 in one of those is big enuff to be bad. Therefore, when he's stomping on the pedal, both of them should have been pinned to their seats. Often in that guy's videos, his guest's cars are out of tune and/or they neglect greasing their door and/or trunk hinges or even both
Thought I'd add my 2 cents to Doghead's comment about women and Corvettes. I love Corvettes. We used to own a 1980 red Corvette with a saddle interior. It was a gorgeous car and ran beautifully. The interior was so comfy. I would have discouraged hubs from buying it in the first place, though, because it came from Nevada and hadn't been smog-tested (per CA law). Whoever owned it before us tinkered with the engine to boost the performance. Hubs knew this and bought it because the dealer promised that he would get it to pass next time around. How naive he was! Needless to say, the dealer went out of business by the time it came time to smog it. It wouldn't pass and we sold it back to another guy from Neveda. I miss that car very much. I'll try to find pics and scan/post them.
The silver one might be for sale soon. The 54 in the picture will be coming out of mothballs in the spring. The Caddie will be sold as well but was only partially restored before the owner and restorer passed away.
While both are attractive, the highest horsepower-yeared smogless one definitely is masculine toxic, without compromise, given that the passenger side remains curvy while barren, as if to subtilly show that passenger her place or something. The '80 appears to have learned from the early Thunderbirds, to the point where a female member of our species wouldn't feel odd at owning one of those
If GM had had the nerve to roll out the ‘54 Olds F 88 the Vette would have gotten power in a hurry, or been a long gone dream. By the late ‘50’s Chevy atoned for the blue flame 6 with duals. The Vettes have certainly had an iconic following.
