I wouldn't own any of them either. Its just another overpriced yuppie car, designed to carry golf clubs or a rich snobby woman to her bridge club get together's. You find it cool, I call it stool!

I bought a couple of 4x8 sheets of 5/8ths CDX the other day. Didn't even try to fit them n the Explorer - it's not all that wide between the wheelwells, so I had to strap 'em to the rack. And let's forget about the HHR - kid-sized inside, and no rack up top on mine.

I had 24 sheets of 1/2 inch drywall in the back of my Roadie. I shut the gate and the kid from Lowes that helped me load them said, "its gonna drag your hitch". I looked back and said wait, I will fix that and flipped the switch that i used for turning on/off the factory air leveler(hate it always running when its parked crooked or on a hill) and waited for it to pump up and level off. He said that is the coolest thing he ever seen, I smiled and handed him a $5 tip for helping me load and the compliment.

Remember, boys and girls, this is what a station wagon looks like. The others are just cars.

There's a lot about the CTS-V wagon that would cause some polarization here......

    - The styling. Certainly not my cup of tea - particularly the rear pillar area
    - The price, vs. what else you could get with the same money. If I had a lot of money, and wanted a modern, fast wagon, it certainly would be one I would consider, but there are a few other 'super wagons' out there. Some of us are also looking at what else we could get for the same money - a classic wagon perhaps?

Great car, great wagon, yes. But is it the greatest thing since sliced bread? No.

I opened the ad in another browser window, right clicked on the photo, selected "select all" and then dragged it to the reply box. I then had to delete all the content around the photo.

Those are pretty. Actually from the rear it looks like a station wagon. Two very mature ladies were at our local Huddle House last week with a white one. That peal white that changes. I thought about stealing it!(y)
Huddle Houses are like Pancake Houses. 24/7 breakfast or lunch.
I didn't take it because there wasn't any room in the rear for my "doggie bag!"

    First, Last, and Only?

My reason on starting this thread is to advance my idea that this Cadillac Wagon might be the average man's first, last, and only chance to own a 180 MPH "Super Car" I believe that the fact it is a wagon, it will be a sleeper in the used car market. A museum owner taught me that the best time to buy a collectible car is when it is 10 years old; it has reached it's maximum depreciation, and there are still fine examples available.
I will never afford a vintage Cadillac V-16 Super Car:

It's tough even to aspire to a classic wagon:

Here's the wagons of the future:
Chevrolet is hard at work on a wagon version of the Cruze. The new model, which could debut as soon as March at the Geneva Motor Show, will complement the existing Cruze sedan and the global market-only Cruze five-door hatchback.

The Cruze wagon will likely offer the same powertrain options as the sedan and hatchback, which means that most markets will see 1.6 and 1.8-liter gasoline four-cylinders.
"I stopped by my Chevy dealer today where I got my car 3 weeks ago.
We end up talking about why this car feels so underpowered and the engine feels flat and sometimes none responsive."

"He agreed that the problem exist for both 1,8 and 1,6 engine and that it’s not feels like having 113 HP under this car and this is very common for the new Chevy."
It's a know "problem", and has pointed by the motor press all over europe.
The Petrol versions are just hilarious.
The totally lack power(torque), in order to handle the 1.5 ton car.

Official 0-60 mph time for the 2nd-generation CTS-V is 3.9 seconds, while the quarter mile is run at 12.0 seconds at 118 mph (190 km/h).[10] These numbers were duplicated by Road and Track magazine (0-60 in 3.9 seconds for the automatic and 4.1 seconds for the manual.)

Coinciding with the release of General Motors' Viability Plan, the automaker has disbanded its High Performance Vehicle Operations team, the crew responsible for the line V-series Cadillacs, the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, the HHR SS, and the V8 version of the Colorado. According to Vince Muniga, a spokesman for the General, "All high-performance projects are on indefinite hold. The engineers are moving into different areas of the organization, and they will work on Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevrolets and Pontiacs." Muniga went on to say that there are no plans for high-performance versions of upcoming plans, but once GM is in a better financial position, the team could be reinstated.

This might be the last best hope for mankind, at least in the wagon department.
