It isn't what happens but how we react to what is happening that makes the difference between a great outcome and a sad one. Tedy, you did a great job of making sure the important thing was taken care of. Funny how we can replace anything, literally anything, except for the people around us. You made sure a family will ultimately still have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year(s). Good on you!!!!!
Nice job Tedy. You gave them and their loved ones an excellent Christmas present. I hope the damage to their house wasn't too bad.
Nice job, it's certainly gotta take some bravery to go into a burning building with no safety gear or anything. I've helped people out of car accidents but can't say I've ever been put in your position. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were in a fire once. They were sleeping in an upstairs apartment and the downstairs was on fire so they didn't know it. The kid living across the road went in and woke them up and got them out. He causes a lot of trouble and is in and out of jail a lot but at least he's got a good heart, and he has been their friend for life. We learned a few years ago that the fire hydrants around here are for decoration only, they're not functional. I watched a house up the hill burn to the ground because the fire trucks couldn't get water, so they had to bust through the ice on the pond and get water. Then they couldn't get up the hill with a load of water because it was a sheet of ice as usual. Then there were the snowmobilers coming from the bar who think it's funny to run over the fire hoses.
