No GPS here either. I still use a big book with detailed maps of all Michigan's 83 counties. But that is just for if I really want to plan a good route. Usually I just follow the sun or stars. If I get really lost, I know if I keep going in one direction I'll end up at a main boundary road. Or can always turn back. But have rarely had to do that.
We could travel together. That's my way of thinking. We've found the best campgrounds , fishing holes, and scenic places when getting slightly off-route. Not really lost, just temporarily in unfamiliar territory. Don't need no stinkin mochine tellin me I'm OFF ROUTE. It it gets that bad my wife will tell me I am off route. Yet she never knows which end's up! If I was lost I wouldn't be here now! I found my way in and out of Bear Cave, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Warren Dunes many times.
Actually just ordered some, for my dad and me. Cruisin' 1955-1962 Anybody else remember those albums, where they'd have the DJ and the commercials and such in there.
