When I got divorced, last year, it literally took me 3 days just to move cars and parts from the house. Chuck
The beetles were a fun car to drive, and always amazed me in Guadalajara during a heavy rain storm. The really could float down the street! Maybe it was a special option for the taxistas!
hahahaha man i remember those! those were some dangerous taxis, one way and sometimes no way out without givin up yer wallet! you should see the cars in Japan, they have an automatic door that opens,, but as a passenger if you break it you buy it, 500 dollars! that beetles front beam was narrowed and about 3/4'' off of the ground... i loved it. krylon scallopy flames too. sorry dont mean to hijak the post, im makin up for the pics that our buddy stormin normin never posts... hahahahaaaa
I was lucky with the taxistas. I took one to the airport in a real downpour, and we got caught on Lopez mateo in 16" of rain water on this 6-lane street. We both got out, and pushed the car to the next rise in the road, with the car idling, and got back in and he gave me half off, for helping him out!
Ah! Mea culpa, sorry. You can use the Quote button to cross-ref to an earlier comment, and then it posts it at the end of the thread. Having been there twice before, you can't move her back in when she's got that bee in her bonnet. :banghead3: Got lucky on the third run.
LORD,JESUS, I would never think of moving her or me back in. That was the best thing that could have ever happened in that situation. I'll take the three days anytime. Chuck
