Dude, you don't seem like the pickup truck type, strictly speaking. But I could see you with a '57-'59 Ranchero or a '59-'60 El Camino.

 

Like, say, this one? I love the color. Neither the interior nor the custom valve covers, though. The original orange Chevy ones make it look more Bigblock-like, IMO

 

My favorite Chevrolet is the '59. I'd love to have Dr. Jack Kevorkian's convertible, Zora Arkus-Duntov's 2-door Biscayne, a wagon and an Elco.

Subie (tan round body); 78 Datsun 510, 82 wolwo 240, and purchase of Bronco Station Wagon (or suv) I own today, '92 2nd wolwo waggy a 850, '12 an 'o4 focus waggy, '17 gifted by family an 'o4 accord sedan.

It might B noted only 8 wagons but much of it due to the longevity of Darts (slant 6, that 1 motor, in 2 cars = well over 300Kmi on it) and the two european swedes of 32 yrs. The bronk is a work vehicle and actually pays me rather than sucking any money away. It now has 2 additional tops - a rag top & a '1/2 cab' (pick up looking thing). Ownership has been thru out the gambit i4, i5, slant6, unlisted bent8, bent6 and i6 w/the final being my fav. Any i6 or the like is best (along w/i8) in my mind. The slanties were great but I'm hot on the ThriftPower (all 6 of the models) or "Falcon" motor. It's history, times in market, engineering, performance, enhancements, machining, etc. BUT I diverge. Stop here B4 the rant develops...

1971 Chevrolet Townsman 2 seat, dark blue, auto, air, 350 (first car, handed down from dad)
1986 Caprice Classic 3 seat, light blue, 307 (bought used when 6 years old)
1995 Ford Escort, dark green, loaded with pw, pl (bought new in 1996 as leftover)
1987 Caprice 3 seat, dark blue, 307, (bought as demo by dad in 1987, inherited when dad passed in 1998)
1989 Caprice Classic 3 seat, medium grey, 307
1996 Buick Century 3 seat, loaded, 3.8 V6

unfortunately the only one I currently have is the 96 Buick.

I did have other wagons in my life growing up owned by my father and grandfather that were pretty neat as well:

Dad’s 1964 Chevrolet Belair 2 seat, beige, auto, 283 (replaced by 71 Townsman purchased new in ‘71
Dads 1978 Chevrolet Impala 3 seat, dark brown, 305 (interesting note: I found this car for dad in 1980 when it was only 2 years old with only 19,000 miles...we were just coming out of the 2nd oiled crisis (1979) and got this wagon for only $4,000! It had listed new for $8,500!!)
Grandpa’s 1971 Ford Torino Squire 2 seat, auto, air, 351 Cleveland, medium blue and wood, bought new in ‘71
Grandpa’s 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity 2 seat, auto, 2.8 V6 (this car was basically the same color and body style as my 96 Buick. He bought it new in ‘84 to replace the Torino which he gave to my cousin who used to go down to Front street in Philadelphia to drag race in the mid 80’s. He would constantly beat mustangs and Camaro’s with the stock, wood grain, rusty 351 Cleveland! Man was it fast!!)
Grandpa had a few Falcon wagons throughout the 60’s...but the earliest I remember is the 1968 he traded in on the Torino...it was called “diamond blue” but as a kid I didn’t understand because it was basically white.

 

That's because Ford's colors tended to fade out.

 

Well...that may be true but in the mid 70’s long after grandpa traded it in, he gave me a “dupli-color” spray can of touch up paint he had leftover for me to use on my model kits I was building...so it was white straight out of the can...
