That's another one I never knew about. Always liked those Grand Am front ends, but for some reason I'm not liking it with the wagon body. I think it's those body styling curves (front door and 1/4) - don't blend well overall..... Any pics of the interior on that one?
I haven't found any other pics than the three at the link I posted. Only found a few other mentions of it. "Pontiac also produced a single 1973 Grand Am station wagon as a feasibility study. This was a LeMans wagon converted to a Grand Am. A functional ram-air induction system was developed for the Pontiac A-bodies utilizing twin NACA openings in the hood, but the option was dropped due to inability to pass federally mandated drive-by noise standards. A few functional Ram Air systems were sold over the counter, but are extremely rare. The twin-scoop NACA hood was an option for any Pontiac A-body for all three years, but was non-functional." This car is also one of very few with a factory ram-air induction set-up. Personally, I like the Le Mans nose more than the Grand Am, but then again, I am quite possibly biased.
Anything is possible? Anything is really possible, once saw an 80's El Camino with the same year Cadillac front end & rear bumper & lights. Sorry for the way I spelled Camero, I am dylesic & without spell check sometimes make mistakes!
I will have to get pics for you guys. A local guy, who is like family to me, hauls scrap for a living, has dad did it and 3 of his sons do it. Well, he has this early 80's F150 front clip that he got from some guy in Erie, PA on a load of scrap, it has the header, grill, headlights, bumper and everything of a '80 Town Car grafted to it. Its done pretty well, just needs final touchups and painted. The guy grafted the front of the lincoln hood to the F150 hood, the header to the fenders and even modded the bumper brackets to mate the TC bumper to the F150 frame. Old Charlie couldn't scrap it, it is one of them conversation pieces. Charlie is waiting till he finds a decent truck to mount it up to and he wants me to paint it up so it can sit in his yard, lol.
I'm not upset with you or the way the way you spell. But believe it or not even 99% of Camaro owners spell it they you did and pronounce it the same way.I am sorry about my outburst but that my meds hadn't kicked in and I am not joking without them I go off the rails so to speak.
BF would like to see the front clip. Tell your friend if he doesn't mind a little travel he can pick up a nice F100 or F150 here in NC starting at $500.00 and up.
Lincolns forever! Lincolns of any age go good with anthing Ford. I overlayed a photo of a 1995 Town Car nose on a 1994 f150. The hood remains the same just has to be moulded to match the rise in the grille. The wrap around headlamps mould into the truck fenders & with a little stretching the bumper will work with a lower valance. Have a 1997 Expediation that I wanted to make a Rolls Royce replica, but dealing with Harry was too much. Have a complete 1979 Town Car that with a little cutting will probably end up on the Expedition. We are not really crazy, back in the 1950s & 60s the auto makers in Canada did this. Most new cars in Canada came with frontends switched. Chevrolet on Pontiace & Dodge on Plymouth. Probably still some of those cars somewhere up there.
These are still being built. Not sure by who but there is a Funeral Home in Winston -Salem NC that has one.
They usually carry the bunches of flowersfrom memorial to grave site... Remember reading books about a guy that drove around in a Rolls Royce pick-up truck...
