Cadillac clamshell tailgate

    They are Cadillacs after all so they should be done right. My guess would be that they (sedans) were sent out to a customizer for the wagon treatment just the same as hearses and limo's were sent to a customizer. Custom bodies were very common in the "old" days and during the 60's and 70's custom bodies were still being done as they are today. I believe none were factory built.

    They definately don't hack.

    Sircrunch, I don't have a problem with Cadillac wagons. I'd love to have one. But most of them are just that... Poorly done Hack Jobs.

    Just compare those Cadillac wagons to the other proper GM wagons (Chevy, Pontiac, Buick Olds), and you will see a big difference on how the lines on the Cadillac wagons don't fit or line up properly, compared to the B,O,P,C wagons. I don't know about you, but I can spot those differences from a mile away.

    I'd show you a couple of pics for an example, but it's 1:30 am, and I should go to bed.
