I had to cancel getting the engine yesterday....I'm waiting for his phone call then I'm out the door.

So finding parts may not be as hard as I thought it would, rite/maybe? Do you know if there were changes made meaning later years parts mite not bolt up etc to this early year?

Jeep wouldnt have made any changes, they were cheaper then a broker on a nickle when it came to any tooling. Thats why they bought used castings and tooling, and were snatched right up by AMC who used everyones leftover surplus's to build the mechanicles for all their cars. I have seen firsthand several Dauntless V Jeeps with 4bbl intakes and carbs at shows, where they get stuff from these days is beyond me, maybe check EBay and craigslist.

Nice origonal rust free Skylark 2dr Poat it came out of, if it was mine I would have left it. Nice guy, he did a 350 Chev engine swap, also has a 65 Merc 1/2 ton truck in restoration (stock)More $$ than me thats for sure;)

    100% complete 1 barrel c/w 2 speed power glide

I believe in pics for proof:D

    Dual stacks.....rite through the hood!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:rofl2:

Yes, full rebuild, stock but will be looking for at least a 2 barrel set up. I have to baby the truck, I can't start the rebuld till some other projects are done, late summer/fall. The seller swares I could just put it in and drive but I just don't do that with an old mill.

You could get those old Buick fender vents and make them real. Headers out the sides with Stainless flex-pipes. Like the big GMC's.

Fall is a good time. Bit wet, but working weather out there.

Great to see you got the engine Tedy. A gmc blower and 2 holley carbs will wake that little engine up
