Thanks Rev. I guess us wagonlovers are a bit "off the main road". I flew 3000 miles for a Colony Park, drove it 3000 miles the other way, and if I could have a do-over, I wouldn't change a thing.
truly some dedication there man....i bought a 68 Galaxie wag about 4 months ago....its still at thier house!! 4 hour drive away !!!....im lazy ....maybe i should go get it....:banghead3:
Dedication for sure, If I had have known I would have picked you up at the airport 90. I know the feeling Rev, My Clown wagon is still at the old owners house 10 minutes away. I drive by it every other day, stop at the one and only spot on the road where I can see it and procratonate about bringing it home. Seller does'nt have a problem with it being there
But it's kind of nice to have a project waiting in the wings - that unopened box with endless possibilities. Do you have visitation rights? It's like having cash stashed in all different hiding places in the house - makes you feel secure to know your cars are all out there? ... somewhere?
they look at them as grand kids, some are a pain in the butt. some are great. but none of them live there! ha!
Well if the government thought the clunker program worked, you guys are proof positive that they were wrong! Fleet owners! Secret trysts in other peoples' barns and yards. This is a movie plot for 'Cars 3 the movie'. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Seriously Norman, I only have room in the driveway and the attention span for two wagons at at time (the Subaru is the one man wagon - gets jealous of whatever other car I drive - key fob always beeping at me for no apparent reason ... very possessive. The C.P. is more mature - plays nice with the Subie, but deep down still knows she's my favorite). Did I just admit all this online?!
Actually there is a technical reason for the Subie's beeper issue. Ford ignition systems, especially the 1975 to 1996 systems emit a radio frequency that can set off car alarms and cause some vehicles to unlock the doors on beeper-activated vehicles. I don't know if there was ever a fix for that, but you might check a recall site.
