*WHIMPER* I had the Kaiser Jeep pickup, dump truck and cement mixer, and I never thought to put them on the Transporter. I also had the VW Bug in black, but, again, I never thought I could do that. I just had the plastic Rancheros. I know in previous years, Tonka had Corvettes and two or three others, but like the Rancheros, they all were plastic.
Well, somebody did, but only in 1:64 scale: Also, the diecast model car is based on a production Mercury Turnpike Cruiser, while the real car in the trailer is the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser concept vehicle (show car), from 1956. Here's a better look at it:
