The difference between dogs and kids is you can beat your dogs in public without someone calling the authorities. I put my little pitull "whitey" to sleep this last 4th of July after he got hit by a car. He was 13. I put my rotty down almost a year earlier on July 20th, bone cancer so bad he could no longer walk. He was 15. I wept like a baby both times in front of all the nice ladies at the vet. Although I threaten my 2 little kids with euthanasia on a daily basis, if I ever have to attend one of their funerals, I will do a little more than cry like a baby. I think I would end up being a disheveled drunk on the corner, screaming obscenities, pausing only to watch a fine automobile grace the intersection!

Back on the subject... my neighbor is a cop, wonder if he could find it using a vin #? He is also a car guy so he would probably deem this a worthy cause

Even more back on the subject. Not sure about the law finding cars not involved in a crime or beating dogs. :deadhorse:<---- It's a big dog!
Many places beating or just hitting a dog could be worse than spanking a mean little brat cussing and throwing fits at Wally world.
If Tiki were involved in a bank robbery or convenient store hold up something could be done. Of course a station wagon full of bullet holes and side swiping cop cars wouldn't exactly be show car quality anymore. Unless driven by Bonnie and Clyde.

No, using police resources for non-police reasons is frowned upon. BUT, have you plugged Tiki's VIN into Google?

That's why I mentioned a crime. I often wonder what ever happened to some of my past cars. I'm sure most ended up as Chinese can openers or garbage cans.
Last I heard my 1926 Model T ended up in a small museum.

I'll take it off your hands Denny. I'll make sure it's taken care of.

Thanks and you are the kind of person I'd like to see it go to.
I gave our son in law the partially finished 1948 Chevy panel truck and our older son my 1939 Ford coupe. It wouldn't take much to make the '39 Ford a driver again but the paint is pealing. Our son already told me he is not really interested in fixing it now that he has it. I can see he has a house unfinished after many years and an adopted little girl that takes all his time.
The son in law seems like he will eventually work on the panel truck. He has it in a heated garage and when we go there he's often looking it over telling me he's going to start on it.
After moving and basically giving a lot of car parts away because of a shifty auction company, I no longer worry about material things.

Well thank you, that is nice of you to say.

My folks are going through a very similar thing in their lives right now too. The more I hear them talk about it, the more it makes sense.
