    March 1963. I'll have to ask my brother Tim if Dad was already at Davisville, RI when that boat went into service. Of course, sadly, Dad's been gone 4 1/2 years now.

    That's a pretty great story. I suppose the PT Boat turned mail boat has not survived to this day.

    I did some armature sleuthing on the inner webs trying to figure out what happened to Uncle Sam II after it was replaced by the Sophie C. in 1969, but so far I have come up empty handed.
