Sorry Doghead. I forget what the politically correct term is for those who have weight issues. I’m a heavy set bald guy. I always tell people I’m a perfect paradox. Too tall for my hair, and too short for my weight.
Yeah, well, I'm 6'6", 425 last time I weighed, down from 498 over the last 3 years, and even I won't make light of obesity, because I live it every day, every bit of it my own bad decisions, my own fault in those decisions. If you were looking for a joke, how about "That tree must not like Fords."
That wasn't a joke. On top of a tree, salt can't get it, as well as those uniformed types issuing out parking tickets. Not to mention, greedy tow truck operators. Besides, an ethnic group once common in your particular area used the top of trees for burials of sorts, even though the corpses were not actually buried. They were just called burials, because there's no English-language equivalent for this practise
Well as somebody who has to watch his sugar, I can tell you everyday is a decision. Sometimes bad ones. My humor is only self deprecating. I have been up and down myself. I never make light of someone’s situation, even if it’s at their own hand. I’m not out to offend. There’s enough of that to deal with every day. Glad you are making progress on your way down the scale. From someone who’s done slimfast to powder drinks in the ‘80’s the loss can be a battle, and the day to day focus can get cloudy. Good luck with your battle.
Eating lettuce or salads in general before meals reduces one's appetite. That, of course, depends on if dressing is used or not. One also has to be careful, when planning meal sizes. Most important is to carefully examine canned food and prepared meals for unnecessary sugar additives and corn starch. Here in Germany, they seem to have a powerful sugar beet lobby. Because, even in toast bread and in peanut butter, you can even taste the added sugar. Alcohol consumption also plays a significant role. It's much easier to gain weight than to lose it. Enough said from Dr. Doghead
