Update

I just got a phone call from my wife. My MIL is alert and conscious but her kidneys have not started working. I pray she continues to improve. Thanks everyone.

 

At least it's a good sign, Cliff! I pray that she will respond, be here and back to health for Christmas. We are all pulling for her. You and your wife are in my thoughts.

 

Thanks SF We are so hoping she does. My Mother passed Dec29th 4 years ago,my wifes baby brother passed in Dec when he was a infant back in the 60's when women as a rule didn't have babies in their 40's. So it's brings up some hard memories for us both.

Update

I'm at the hospital now and it's a matter of time before she passes. Her kidneys won't function.My wife and her sisters are starting to come to terms with whats going on.

 

So sorry to hear all this. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sad turn of events to say the least. My thoughts are with you and your wife's family, Cliff. I don't care how old one is, it's always very, very difficult to see your parent going through such suffering and fraility. Heartbreaking, it truly is.
