Well, my Italian wife likes stations and actually choose the Caprice and the AR rims. But a forum like this, hmmmm. She is a real alpha person and although she of course has her own taste, and a good eye for art I might add, she wont come on the board. The image is still guys talking mostly tech about cars. Besides that, she has also a bit of a prejudice about the type of men interested in cars.... Yep I know, I seem to be an exception. :yahoo:
Anyway, I am not really sure how to attract others.

The Classic Chevy club magzine editorial last month was "How To Get More Females Involved In The Hobby?"

    Guys (and gals),
Go to any car show or cruise-in and I'll be danged if you don't see just as many women as men there.
    A. Are they being forced to attend by their mates?
    B. Did they just walk in by mistake and want to leave in a hurry?
    C. Did they show up looking for a mate?
    D. Were they looking for advice on how to sell their mother's 1957 Chevy BelAir 4-door Wagon with 23,000 original miles and thought going to this show or cruise a good place to get such advice?
    E. None of the above?

I really don't think you need to worry about more females wanting to get involved in the car hobby? Any I've come across in my life would join in if they felt like it. Just like if I wanted to learn to knit I'd be asking over on Mary's Knitting & Needlepoint.com how to knit? I doubt many on Jasper's Engines web site could answer any knitting questions for me? Or if I asked George W. he could answer much on the subject? (he's had a tough enough time just trying to run this country)

If I have my way, heck yeah I'd love more women joined any web site I was a member of. Cause gosh fellas, I'm single!!!!!
(no, I wasn't looking for a date. Unless you happen to own a '55/6/7 Chevy?)

Okay I got a girlfriend and we've been together for a while. And I'm sure she'd snip off a few of my body parts if she thought I was carring on with another woman. (if she caught me that is) :rofl2:

I see nothing wrong with being friends with other women. It ain't like we're moving in together after all.

So anyone got any suggestions about how to get more women to join this site let the rest of us know? Heck I may even wash if more women join the web site? (just don't make me brush ma teeth. Both of ums)

My Mexican wife, has more hot Salsa sauces and tortilla recipes than I can count. We have a 5-drawer file cabinet FULL! AND a bookcase full of desert binders and books. Heck we could show instructions on how to use a hub-cap for a mixing-bowl at a road-side park! ;) Or use a paint-mixer when the coffee-grinder gives up the ghost!!!

No one could use cooking lessons better then my g/f. She can not cook. She has trouble making cookies from one of those pre-made cookie dough rolls you buy at Wally World.

Buying her a cook book is a waste of money. The pages will fall out from lack of use.

This old sailor friend of my dad's used to say: "God made man, and rested. God made women, and niether man, nor God have rested since."

At the end of it all, we love the difference. ;)

Vive la difference!!! :banghead3:  :biglaugh:

    Unhijack,
I just ordered one of the Station Wagon Living books from Amazon. I have seen here in a book store a book of the History of the Fiat Berlinetta (the stations of fiat) which I am still doubting about. 40 euro, :scratchchin:

TBird, even the Rev gave up (gave in? :rofl2:) But we got all these good memories of wagons for old family times, and that (stretching the point, here) means women. As Senri said, and others, it's still a man's game -cars. I reluctantly accept that as fact. Who wants black mascara (grease) on their nail polish? :)
