Not a bad ratrod for such a hateable vehicle. 300 ft.lbs. torque in a 1 ton car sounds like fun.
He might be able to sell it, if he paints the wheels scarlet and the rest this color:

I think he's asking a bit much for an unfinished project - especially one that's a Pinto. I don't see $5k invested in this one.

here! Oh, those wheels are not rusted, they're powder coated "RUST" color:)

    Huh??????

If done rite this could be a blast to drive. How ever, there is a reason Ford stopped matching tan and blue not only on the exterior of there cars but interiors also.....The 2 colours together are fugly.

I must be an old coot but I can't find anything to like about that car (except that it appears to be rust free and is a manual tranny).

    - Paint is worn and faded
    - wheel covers are ugly
    - suspension has been butchered or has worn out springs
    - tacked on hood scoop is... well... tacky
    - Dash board has been savaged

I would much rather have an unmolested one as I rather like the pintos and the original I-4 engine is quite tweekable.

At least the scoop on that one sort of looks like it belongs there.

I grant you it is not the prettiest scoop, and an NACA scoop would be nicer, but if you look at the position of it, it is there to feed the cold air intake. More than likely, this is the most efficient scoop he could have used. This thing must go like STINK, too!
