I agree with you Silverfox. The car is nice but there are no underhood shots or under the car shots. Assuming all is true and the car is as presented it would be reasonable in the $3-4K realm but I don't think there's a big enough following to command the asking price.

Here's my opinion. Negatives: A inline six with 70's era emissions controls. No mention of a functional A/C, no mention of cruise control and I don't see any controls for it as the pictures are a little small.

Positives: The interior looks near new and all the plastics look like it was garaged a lot. I really think without any other information that the paint looks original based on the condition of the interior.

    NICE CAR.

8 hours left and still at $1546. Somehow I don't think it's going to get to his dream of $5000.

Forrest, I just realized looking at your pictures that my car is missing heat shields from the exhaust, if they had them in 82. That's one clean Fairmont. First bid was 2,200, that's not too bad but with all the originality and paperwork you have including that NOS carb it should sell for more. I wish you good luck on the sale.

your 82 should have probably come with a heat riser setup, but it won't hurt anything to not be there. It's a cold-start emissions item.

thank you for the well-wishing

I'm sure I'll shed a tear when it leaves the driveway. The fox body wagons are my favorite cars EVER... if I could park this thing in my living room, I'd probably just keep it, but I'm not doing it any good leaving it parked outdoors :(

oh, I would imagine yours had one at one point. Probably was removed at some point when the catalyst was replaced. If it hasn't caused an issue by now, I don't think it ever will :D

My cat suffered it's demise under the mechanic's torch today, and was replaced with straight pipe. So I have an extra 'brush guard' if you want it!
