Yup....Homey did an incredible number on this great wagon with tons of hard work. I looked at all his pix in admiration of a guy that brought back something he loves. You are a great car guy, Homey. With even greater talents, abilities and the highest of standards. That car is perfection.:thumbs2:

I know that this post is old but I am hoping that I can still get an answer. Where did you get that floor/ center console that sits in front of the bench seat?

    Reference 3rd pic down.

Does anyone know what this center/ floor console came out of? Or where to get one?

The last time Homestar62 visited the forum was 11/27/14.

I'm not sure he still has the wagon featured in this thread. I seem to recall something about him selling it. The short console you are referring to was in his other wagon (the Vista Cruiser shown in a few pics...). That one's been sold.

I would suggest sending him a PM through your User CP.

That shorty console looks to me like it's out of an older sports car, like a Fiat or something. just a guess, though.

    I got your PM!
Hey all, I hope all is well!!
I got that little console at a car swap for $5 and it had gauges too! (I never hooked them up)
I don't usually get a nice little find at those swaps but when I got that console it felt victorious, I appreciated it right away!
I was never sure if it was something that originated from a store or from an old car.
It appears to be something sold in stores long ago because of the way it was made but this is only my speculation.
The car in the picture has an FM converter mounted on the under dash.
I used to hook the unit on the converter so it would not move while driving.
The gauges appear to have been put on custom.
I am very fond of the design for its looks and it's practical ability to hold a car radio and equalizer or gauges with keeping in mind that properly mounted in a removable way it can be quickly removed via plugs and connectors to show your car as original removing the unit for concourse events.
If you ever put a car radio in the glove box to keep the cars original look you'll know what I mean.
Having a removable faux console can prove itself very handy, unique, and practical.
I might still have it out in the shed or I might have sold it with the yellow wagon.
But I won't know until spring, I live in the Boston area and I have 5 ft of snow in the yard! I can't get to the shed.

    Ttyl
