Where did you find the vertical carpet pieces under the doors? I assume you made them?

Hi Crab, yes the guy who did the interior made my carpet using one piece, so they just flowed up from the floor and over the sill, then I trimmed it to fit the step plates.

Well that sure beats buying a ready made one from ACC and finding out that the carpet isn't included in the carpet kit.

yep, and it was pretty cool watching him steam and shape the carpet to his desire, he's got some talent thats for sure

I'm also pretty sure that the originals were covered with a vinyl trim, maybe?

Thanks GUYS!!!!! Took it to its first saturday show today, was awesome, first of the year. LOTS of comps on the car, the interior, and exterior. Most of the people I talked to didnt know that ford didnt make a 2-door wagon in the fairlane series, so once they heard that, seems the interest increased, fun day!!!!

I have to agree. Your car is so dang neat! I have to admit I'm slightly jealous.
I hope you get many miles of enjoyment out of it. :thumbs2:

That is such a fantastic job you did on it. Ya know, Hot Wheels is traveling the country right now, looking for cars to make into their product; this wagon should be shown to them. This is definitely one they should consider.

Wow. "If it's Mattel, it's swell!" That is what you send to Hot Wheels, this video.
