They build car just like bikes, bolt a bunch of stuff on and you're done.:rofl2:
The Rambler was a hack job, if a job is worth doing it's worth doing right. They aren't looking for right, they're looking to only do just enough to flip the car in the shortest amount of time for the most profit.

Discovery Channel started showing the series over here, not too long ago. The first one featured a 1950 Olds. What was disappointing about it was that they didn't take much time with it and ended up replacing the original engine with a smallblock Chevy. It wouldn't have been so bad, if they had used a smallblock Olds instead.
Coddington used to set short deadlines also which spoils the entire project and creates feelings of hatred on the part of the employees.
The worst butcher ever is "Jesse James" who once bought one of the last mint Anglias left, butchered it beyond recognition and ended up destroying it, only because a faulty magneto was delivered

What do you think they did wrong, other than poor choices in wheels, interior and too small a motor? I'm picking up a 60 this week and I think the 9 inch is good and a 5.3 will work. I think the car is well built with ugly parts. Here is the one I'm hoping to get this week.

BTW here is a pic of the 60 I'm hoping to have in my driveway by the end of the week.

Sorry, gang, I'm no fan of the Ass Monkey Auto Hobby Chop Shop and Daycare Center "show". Richard seems to get off on how he screws the person he buys the car from, screws over his upholstery girl, and screws over the buyer of his latest "gem". He epitomizes the sleazy, greasy used car salesmaggot.

I'm not impressed. Especially with clearcoating over so-called "patina" --- PAINT the sonofabitchin' thing, will ya???

Sue once took advantage of Rawlings incringing Alzheimers where they agreed to $800 for doing that Bronco seat. When he went to pick it up, he forked over 1 grand, after she said they agreed on that price.

That there is the exact reason I like those Texan redneck day care dolts. My last wagon (1970 country squire) was patina and chalky paint and an ill attempt at a wax job. Took me a week of buffing but the end result was shined paint, primer, steel and a bit of rust. I loved the look. A paint job would have cost as much as the wagon did and I liked the originality of it. I got a lot of compliments on the paint and some people didn't get it but that was ok because a lot of people didn't get the wagon thing either. Again they do stuff outside the box and that's what they do different stuff. Screw balls yes but I like them.
They took a 1970ish Four door impala or caprice and made it a cool rally car, who else would have done that other than a bunch of ass monkeys from Texas.
