Good thing this thread was bumped up-to-date. Thanks Fanny!

Some time ago, my wife and I were strolling in a light rain storm, and she started singing "Singing In the Rain". This is a Mexican gal folks. How did she even know the song? Her dad was a huge collector of US Musicals trivia and LPs!

So, one day, can't recall if it was Spring or not, a few years ago, I found it, and gave it to her for her Birthday. Never noticed that it was the 2-disc version until 2 nights ago. The 2nd disc (DVD) had more special features, like 4 hours of a complete review of all the Musical movies the producer made (47 flicks until 1960). That took me back o my Mother's favourite "Gigi" of 1958. Dad took her out to see it just before New Years, She sang it, she shushed us kids when Maurice Chevalier sang it on the radio. It was her namesake (Gisele).

We watched the Special Features on Disc One, the first time, and we sat through both the movie and almost 6 hours of special features, my wife and I, and she recalled her dad's passion for Music and Musicals, while I recalled my mother's passion for French singing legends, especially 'Gigi'.

So my wife want's to learn the all of this composer's songs (Arthur Freed) and especially 'Singin' in the Rain", for Piano.

She'll be shopping for the sheet music and lyrics today. And booking for Piano lessons, next week.

Gonna be another fine year, with more music, and more movies to hunt for.
