    I'm a Mopar guy and I always liked these wagons, and not to be overly negative, but I wouldn't give you a nickel for a modern Hemi. The cam/lifter wear problems are due to a fatal design error in the block where a cast-in oil galley literally blocks the entire length of the cam from getting oil slung onto it from the crankshaft. Especially at lower RPMs.

    Then why was the cam and lifter issue never a problem in the 6.1 motors...
    .

    The 6.1 had cam and roller lifter issues too. There just weren't as many reported cases because it was a much lower production engine. Not only in overall numbers, but in years produced. Especially compared to the 5.7.

    Right? That’s one of those things that no matter how many friends you tell, I can’t believe one will say “Holy cow Fred. You stole that thing. What a great deal “ at least probably not in Fred’s lifetime.
