I think they get a cache of similar cars and release them one after another.

It has 49K miles and it has had 6 previous owners??

 

It's also 30 years old, probably a bunch of older folks or people who had it as a second car. Not really unheard of to hear of lower mileage cars with 3-4 owners after 15-20 years.

 

Just so bananas to me that this generation of car is 30 years old.

 

Yep, and that's what happened to my dad's Taurus wagon like this one. He loved that car, but never put any miles on it, and gave it down to my sister, who also never put any miles on it either. But he did say of all the cars he had in his life, starting with a '40 LaSalle coupe, that Taurus wagon was one of his favorites.

well for what you can get on the used car market with under 50,000 miles, I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Seriously. $5000 doesn't even touch a 20 year old Honda or Toyota in many places anymore.

 

Wow ! Change the belts & hoses and drive this wagon another 80K miles. Deal of the day IMO.
