Buick did a nice job with the Century dashboard. B-I-L had a '84 Limited sedan for a while, and I was quite impressed with it.
Yes, I agree with your comments about the Buick dashboard. Many of the other GM midsize cousins had their dashboards revised at some point in their lifetime but the Buick retained the dash it came with in 1982 when it debuted. I’ve always liked the little rocker switch map light it came with…not that I ever use it…it’s just cool
Also, I like how the ad stated “looks like a 70s or 80s classic model”. This is one of the reasons I have always liked these cars. I thought about buying one new back in 1996 but unfortunately it didn’t happen. I remember when I was in high school, one of the administrators there I was friendly with had purchased a two door Century brand new in 1982. I remember driving the car and thinking that it was a nice car but unfortunately the car seemed to live at the dealership. It was not very reliable and she had a lot of trouble with it. But as we all know the longer the body runs the more they get things right. My 1996 wagon lacks the carburetor and the computer command control system that caused so many gremlins at the onset. Runs and drives like a dream with its much more advanced power train and engine management system. But…still looks like an ‘82…
