Very few are politically or grammatically correct here so don't sweat it. Look around and ask all the questions you want, someone here will be able to help answer it. You will find more friendly folks here than on the normal forums and a few jokesters who mean no harm.

 

The only thing you're doing wrong here is apologizing! There is no need to! You didn't do anything wrong! I'm just having a little fun with what you wrote. The written word is ALL we have on these forums. We can't see facial expressions, we can't hear inflections in your voice. Accuracy in writing IS important, and there can easily be a world of difference between the phrases "I took girls to the park" and "I took my girls to the park."

As another example, there is a big difference between the phrases

"Let's eat, grandma"

and

"Let's eat grandma."

The absence or presence of the comma makes all the difference in the world.


In your case, I knew exactly what you meant. But the way you wrote it was funny. That's all. I didn't even know you were female (not that it matters) until your most recent post. I just assumed you were a male because 99% of the people who post on here are males. If I had known you were female, I probably wouldn't have made the comment.
