    I have no idea....
    Nothing on the other fender.
Just a shot in the dark... Maybe a plug for a block heater? (But don't they usually put these through the grill or coming out where the bumper filler is?

This is a nice one. Mileage similar to my '81.
Seems to be quite a few of these box wagons popping up lately. I'm loving mine.

Our Buick has a block heater, as you mentioned..... I can feed it between the bumper filler and grill. ???

Hey...MercWoody...might want to adjust your monitor...the car is Burgundy.:D Looks real nice but I just don't like selective pix showing small areas of a car...they are fine but give me wide angles, too. Looks like a nice car, though. Doesn't appear to have power seats which I find unusual for an Electra.

It's the cigarette lighter. Quality control wasn't the best back then.

Man, must be a b**** lighting up at 60MPH+ on the highway......so, GM invented road rage because of a cigarette starved driver on the highway???

One other thing about this car....would you pay $8000 for it? Not me, thank you. Darn nice car. $8K is just too much. I realize that this dealer puts that high BIN price on there so the kid bidders will feel safe and bid it up AND push the real bidders up. They can get caught, though....never know where the real reserve is. I don't like it when a dealer gets hold of a really nice car and then details the heck out of it and asks double what it's worth. He may have taken it in on a trade and have ZERO money in that car. Maybe not....just sayin'.

Thought the apparent lack of power seats was unusual also, silverfox. ;)

Yeah...loaded up like an Electra otherwise...even has the cornering lights like my old one. I like those, by the way. Very strange to be without power seats.

My first thought was an aftermarket plug for the block heater. It may also be an external key switch for a cheap aftermarket alarm system. I have seen things like that before, too. Other than that, this one does look very nice. That Black Cherry paint is a beautiful and uncommon colour, too. Like the Ford Dark Cranberry, it is a real red, not a burgundy, and that is what makes it different.

Just noticed another thing that DOES bother me but does not seem to bother others. This dealer has a 95% feedback.
